A Short Biography of Dead by you

Dead By You got started in the summer of 2006, when Jari and Jannu met each other, and being old friends, ended up chating about music. It turned out that Jari wanted badly to have a singer for some riffs he'd been working out. He made it very clear to Jannu, that he was the one who had the best voice for those riffs.

In the beginning there was no talk about forming a band, just relaxing and playing. As soon as songs started to develop, the ambition got higher, so they decided to ask some friends to join in. After several line up ghanges Dead by You was ready to test their music with audience. The band played in local bars and parties and the feedback was great. The comments was mainly about the great songs and the intensity of the band.

Band recorded an EP pretty soon after their local tour. Main goal was to have more gigs with that, and it was pretty much how the year 2007 went. Then, in the early 2008, somehow the EP found the way to producer Johnny Lee Michaels. Johnny liked some of the ideas that DBY had on tape, and after an meeting in his studio, decision was that the band wanted to make two songs with him, Waterfalls and Romeo. In the middle of production, Johnny and the band came to conclusion, that it would be best to push, and keep on going for the full-length album. The start of this production is going to take place at January 2009. In the meantime, DBY is searching for partners in crime, to release their upcoming album sometimes in 2009.
