Past

Dead By You was founded at Jyväskylä, Finland in 2006. The band started working immediately, writing music and pushing themselves to the local venues. The response was very supportive and soon the word was out for a new hot band around to check out. A few months later the guys were ready to record a four song EP, Dead By You aka 'Black Acoustic Rock'.

After a while the EP found it’s way to producer Johnny Lee Michaels. The first plan was to record two songs, Waterfalls and Romeo, but the co-operation was so good that they decided to go for a full-length album, which was finished this summer with nine songs. It’s going to be called Strangers In A Parade.

In the midst of recordings, Dead By You decided to participate in the Radio Rock Starba contest with their newly recorded song Waterfalls. The song immediately rose up to the final over 800 bands. According to the jury, Dead By You was extremely close to win the competition, and Radio Rock was so impressed with the band, that they promised to put the band on air when the upcoming album is published.

Present

In this three year period, the band has gone through big changes, from the garage band they used to be, to a tight developed working unit, aiming high at their attention of becoming something that people will enjoy for many years to come. Many say that Dead By You is one of the most promising bands in Finland at the moment.

Future

Currently the band is looking for partners to publish their finished album. Also plans for a second album are already underway with producer Johnny Lee Michaels.
